Happenings and goings on

Hrm, it has been a year since I last updated this blog. I figure you're due for an update. Michelle and I have been married for 10 months yesterday. We both graduated from Utah State University in May. Michelle with a bachelor's degree in horticulture, and I with a Master's degree in electrical engineering. After that, we acted pretty quickly in moving up to Boise, ID so I could start my new job at Micron technology on May 23. Since then, we've been settling in and acquiring furniture and things. Our new apartment is probably twice as big as our last. That has been a good change.

So at Micron, I have the position of product engineer in mobile memory. I'm on a team that's working on certain low power RAM chips for smart phones and things. It's only been two weeks, but I'm enjoying it and I'm learning lots.

Michelle has been setting the apartment straight, looking for a florist job, working on her new sewing machine, and so on. She said she's just not a good hand sewer and I just laughed. Heh, hand sewer.

So there you have it. Grads, Boise, Micron, grownup life. Woot!

P.S. We recently started using Mint.com to keep a budget and it works beautifully. I've heard Yodlee.com is also good.
