The Googlenet

It's quiet. Seems like this neck of the blogosphere has fallen into some kind of deep sleep. How can this be?!? We live in some exciting times here on the internets. Google+ adding the ability to actively (Buzz) and passively (+1) promote internet content. Plenty of hosting services to be had for websites, pictures, music, and videos. Individuals making a living by only creating more internet content (or real world goods, to be sure). Free textual, audio, and/or video services are here.

By my count, there are around 40 services offered by a single Google account. You can take a look at them on the dashboard. I foresee a further integration of a lot of these, particularly the social ones. Blogger and Picasa, for example, will be renamed in the coming months. Probably to Google Blog and Google Photos or something similar. With this integration, you could check out my Google profile and see my ranting blog posts, tweet-like mental vomits, pictures and videos of stuff I do, and any other sites and content I want to spread around. Maybe I'll start participating. Or become a belated hipster. "I was blogging when it was still really cool."
