Rain

It has finally rained in Boise for the first time since early June. It's also below 80 degrees since almost just as long. I like the rain. It reminds me of getting caught outside in the rain in Brazil (with or without an umbrella, often it didn't matter because you always get soaked feet) and of Washington and its greenery. Mostly though, it reminds of elementary school when I loved the rain because it meant I didn't have to go outside for recess. I didn't understand why I should be forced outside anyway (I protested slightly at least once); I was perfectly happy staying inside with books, computers, or something else like legos.

And now? Nothing beats walking in the rain wearing a trench coat and fedora because sunshine makes me break out in a rash.
